This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all paid services offered on doonproperties.in, including featured property listings, agent or broker subscription packages, premium account upgrades, and any other paid feature introduced on the Website in the future.
By purchasing any paid service on doonproperties.in, you agree to be bound by the terms of this policy. All amounts mentioned are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Cancellation Policy
2.1 Cancellation by You (User-Initiated Cancellation)
You may cancel a paid service under the following conditions:
For one-time featured listings: You may cancel within two hours of making the payment, provided your listing has not yet been published live on the Website. To cancel, you must email support@doonproperties.in with your payment receipt and order ID. If the listing has already gone live (even if within two hours), cancellation is not permitted.
For monthly agent or broker subscriptions: You may cancel at any time before the next billing cycle. Cancellation will take effect from the next renewal date. You will continue to have access to the subscription benefits until the end of the current paid period. No partial refund will be issued for the remaining days of an ongoing billing cycle.
For premium account upgrades: You may cancel anytime from your account dashboard or by emailing support@doonproperties.in. The cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.
2.2 Cancellation by Us (doonproperties.in)
We may cancel your paid service without prior notice in the following situations:
– Your payment method fails for a recurring subscription (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds).
– You violate our Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to posting fraudulent property listings, submitting false information, or harassing other users.
– Your property is sold, rented, or otherwise taken off the market before the featured period ends. In such cases, you may request early removal of the listing, but no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the paid period.
Refund Policy
3.1 Situations Where Refunds Are Issued
We issue refunds only in the following limited circumstances:
Duplicate payment: If you are accidentally charged twice for the same service due to a technical glitch or payment gateway error, we will refund the duplicate amount in full. You must report the duplicate payment within seven days of the transaction and provide both transaction IDs or payment screenshots.
Technical error resulting in non-publication:** If you successfully pay for a featured listing or other paid service but due to a technical error on our end your listing never appears live on the Website, and we are unable to resolve the issue within forty-eight hours of being notified, you will receive a one hundred percent refund.
Prolonged service unavailability: If doonproperties.in remains completely unavailable (downtime) for more than twenty-four consecutive hours during your paid service period due to a server outage or other issue within our control, you will receive a pro-rata refund calculated based on the number of downtime days.
Accidental purchase: If you accidentally purchase a paid service (e.g., clicking the payment button by mistake) and you notify us within two hours of the transaction, and your listing has not yet been published live, we will issue a full refund.
3.2 Situations Where No Refund Is Issued
You are not entitled to a refund under any of the following circumstances:
– You changed your mind after the listing went live, even if you did not receive any inquiries or views.
– Your property did not receive the expected number of inquiries, views, or offers. We do not guarantee any specific results or performance metrics.
– You posted incorrect or incomplete information (such as wrong locality, incorrect price, or missing photographs) and the listing was published as submitted.
– Your account was suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms and Conditions.
– You purchased a subscription and forgot to cancel before the automatic renewal date.
– You were unsatisfied with the quality or number of leads generated from your listing.
– Your property was sold or rented through other channels (including through our platform) before the paid period ended – the paid service has already been delivered.
3.3 Refund Request Process
To request a refund, you must follow these steps:
First, send an email to refunds@doonproperties.in with the subject line exactly as follows: “Refund Request – [Your Order ID]”. Replace the bracketed text with your actual order ID or payment reference number.
Second, attach clear proof of payment, which may include a payment receipt, bank statement screenshot, UPI transaction screenshot, or payment gateway confirmation email.
Third, explain in clear terms the reason for your refund request and specify which of the eligible situations described above applies to your case.
3.4 Refund Processing Timeline
Once we receive your refund request, the following timeline applies:
– Acknowledgment: You will receive an acknowledgment email within two business days (Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in Uttarakhand).
– Review and decision: We will review your request and communicate our decision within seven business days of receipt.
– Approved refunds: If your refund is approved, the amount will be credited to the original payment method (credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, or wallet) within ten to fifteen business days. The exact time depends on your bank or payment service provider.
– Denied refunds: If your refund is denied, we will provide a written explanation citing the specific section of this policy that applies.
3.5 Payment Gateway Charges
Please note that payment gateways (such as Razorpay, Stripe, or others) typically charge a processing fee of approximately two to three percent plus Goods and Services Tax (GST) for each transaction. If a refund is issued, some payment gateways do not refund these charges to us. In such cases, we may deduct the non-refundable gateway fee from your refund amount. We will inform you about any such deduction before processing the refund.
Dispute Resolution for Refund Denials
If you disagree with our decision to deny your refund request, you may escalate the matter as follows:
First escalation: Contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@doonproperties.in within fifteen days of receiving the denial. The Grievance Officer will review your case and respond within seven business days.
Second escalation: If you remain unsatisfied with the Grievance Officer’s decision, you may file a complaint with the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, provided your claim amount falls within their monetary jurisdiction.
All disputes regarding refunds shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
